  • Application refers to mobile apps published by the Company that link to this Privacy Policy, including Sabnzbd
    Remote 2.0, Control Center, Unified Press SA, and Unified Press UK.

  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”) refers to Soft Serve Consulting (PTY) Ltd., Bain
    Str 7, Wellington, 7655, Western Cape, South Africa.

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may collect information that You provide directly in the Application, including:

  • Server connection settings (for example URL/IP, port, path, API key, and optional username/password)
  • App preferences (for example SSL/authentication preferences, queue/history limits, and in-app message preferences)
  • Usage Data

In Sabnzbd Remote 2.0 and Control Center, this settings data is primarily stored locally on Your device in app-private storage.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

Usage Data may include information such as Your Device’s IP address, device type, operating system version, app version, app interactions,
timestamps, crash diagnostics, and other technical diagnostic data.

Information Collected while Using the Application

Our current app functionality does not require collection of precise location data.

Our apps also do not currently request contacts, microphone, or camera permissions for core functionality.

If You choose an optional feature that requires selecting a file from Your device (for example, a manual upload action), the app only uses
the file You explicitly choose.

Third-Party SDKs and Services

Our apps use third-party SDKs that may collect technical and usage data automatically:

  • Google AdMob (advertising)
  • Firebase Analytics (usage analytics)
  • Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting and diagnostics)

These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies (Website)

We use Cookies and similar technologies on Our Website to support core functionality, measure traffic, and improve user experience.

Cookies may be “Persistent” or “Session” cookies. You can control cookie behavior in Your browser settings.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service, including monitoring app and website reliability.

  • To provide core app functionality, including connecting to the SABnzbd server You configure and performing requested
    actions.

  • To improve the Service, including analytics, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

  • To provide app messaging, such as maintenance or migration notices.

  • To serve and measure advertising where ads are enabled.

  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce legal rights.

How Your SABnzbd Data Is Handled

When You configure a SABnzbd server in the app, requests are sent to the server endpoint You provide using Your configured credentials/API
key.

We do not operate Your SABnzbd server.

Sharing of Your Personal Data

We may share information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: such as Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics to operate, analyze, and
    improve the Service.
  • With Your configured server endpoint: to perform the actions You request in the app.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.
  • For business transfers: in connection with merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
  • With Your consent: for any other purpose disclosed at the time of consent.

We do not sell Your personal information.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

  • App settings stored on Your device remain until You change them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • Analytics, crash, and ad-related data may be retained according to provider retention policies.
  • We may retain data where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information may be processed in countries other than Your own, including where Our service providers operate.

By using the Service, You understand and agree that such transfers may occur, subject to applicable safeguards.

You can delete app-stored settings by clearing app data or uninstalling the Application.

limitations.

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
