ReGas — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the mobile application ReGas (Android package za.co.softserve.regas) operated by Soft Serve Consulting (PTY) Ltd. (“Soft Serve”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms apply specifically to ReGas. Other Soft Serve apps have their own terms pages.

1. Who we are

Soft Serve Consulting (PTY) Ltd. is based at Bain Str 7, Wellington, 7655, Western Cape, South Africa. Contact: enquiries@soft-serve.co.za.

2. Eligibility and age

ReGas is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using the app you confirm that you meet this age requirement (or that a parent or guardian accepts these terms on your behalf where local law allows).

3. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use ReGas on devices you own or control, solely for your own use, in line with these Terms and Google Play’s terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer (except where mandatory law allows), rent, or create derivative works from the app, or remove proprietary notices.

4. Accounts

ReGas does not require a Soft Serve user account to use core features. Preferences and connection settings (where applicable) are stored on your device as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Fees, ads and purchases

The app is free to download and may show advertisements. Optional Premium subscriptions remove ads and unlock additional features. Prices, billing periods and offers are shown in Google Play and are charged by Google Play according to its terms.

Refunds for Play purchases are handled under Google Play’s refund policies. Soft Serve does not process card payments inside the app outside Google Play Billing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, including by attempting to disrupt our services or others’ systems, scraping or overloading our backends beyond normal use, bypassing technical limits, or using the app for unlawful purposes.

App-specific terms — ReGas

ReGas helps you compare fuel options using location, your vehicle settings and publicly available fuel price data. Fuel prices, station availability and opening information can change. Always confirm price and suitability at the pump before you buy.

Estimated drive costs, Dig results, rankings and savings figures are informational aids only. They are not a guarantee of savings, a navigation instruction you must follow, or advice to break traffic or safety laws. You remain responsible for how you drive and where you stop.

Features that use location — including search, widgets, Android Auto surfaces and optional reminders near a station — depend on device permissions, system settings and third-party maps or car platforms. Soft Serve does not guarantee that every reminder or Auto session will fire in all conditions.

7. Third-party services

The app may use third-party services such as Google Play, advertising (for example AdMob), analytics, crash reporting, maps or car platforms. Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. Soft Serve is not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

8. Intellectual property

Soft Serve and its licensors own the app software, branding and Soft Serve-created materials. Third-party trademarks and publisher or product names belong to their owners. No licence is granted except as stated in these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soft Serve disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Soft Serve is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the app.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under South African law (including for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is not allowed).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Soft Serve against claims arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of others’ rights (including, where relevant, rights in content you access through servers or publishers you choose).

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may also be noted on this page or via the store listing.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or stop offering the app, or restrict access, if you breach these Terms or if we must do so for legal, security or operational reasons. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
